What the Ducks!

Aw, thanks!!! It is indeed a crocus–fall-blooming variety!
I have my bulbs on the kitchen table and I did order a bunch more crocus( bees like them here). My crocus bloom in the spring(zone 5). I am new to crocus, so do you plant these for fall bloom in the spring as you would for spring bloom planted in the fall…I hope this question makes sense…lol
I order my bulbs from a catalog which specifies which varieties are spring, which are fall. We haven’t lived in this house all that long so last year was the first time I got around to planting bulbs. Ordered fall bulbs that ended up arriving in Sept, I think, but did bloom in October. These same crocuses came up again this year a week or too ago so a bit earlier than first time. Also was supposed to plant spring crocuses last October or November but then we got hit with Sandy and all my plans went out the window. Finally got around to putting them in the ground in, I believe, March but they came up just fine. Excited by my newbie luck, I ordered another 50 bulbs for next spring which are scheduled to arrive later this month. Since they are saying we might not even get first freeze until about then, we are good to go. Fingers crossed the hurricane season stays as quiet as it’s been… Good luck with your bulbs!!!
