Thought I’d run this reminder of spring (edition 2013) to perk up our frozen spirits. You see, despite the current forecast, I’m truly convinced we’re really (almost!) there. Evidence includes:
1) birds singing their spring songs,
2) chipmunks out of hibernation,
3) and–most significantly–the cats shedding so much fur I’m running out of vacuum cleaner bags trying to keep up with it.
Well, just kidding about that last part. In reality, my vacuuming strategy consists of seeing dust bunnies, noting their existence, planning to deal with them, thinking about dealing with them until, finally, wading through a sea of allergens, I can’t do anything but eventually, actually vacuum.
Or think about it some more.

You really think Spring is around the corner? Please say yes. Please say yes. I *need* spring. I’m so over Winter! XOXO – Bacon
Call it “wishful posting”! I need it, too!!!
Here the daffodils and crocus are blooming…great signs!
Happy to report that I went into the flowerbeds this morning chasing down a duck and almost stepped on our just-emerging daffodils, too!!!
I hope that you and your signs of spring are right and that the weatherman is wrong!
Me, too!!!
I’ve been noticing birds twittering out there too..
Can spring fever keep us warm through next week? 😉
I relate to your vacuuming strategy quite well. 🙂
Whatever works, right? 🙂
Absolutely!
No bagless vacuum cleaner? You need pet brush attachment for your vacuum cleaner. Like you can get close to a dog or cat with a vacuum cleaner. 🙂
Ya know, we even got one of those robot ones (“science project” for my junior scientist) but–at least, at my house–you’d run it in one room and have to clean it out right away. Not at all time-saving. So I went back to my old-school system, such that it is. 😉
I’m told that cats love tumble driers. The filter captures the excess fluff and the cat has an enjoyable time…….. no, wait. That was Alf…….. my bad.

U r bad!!! 🙂 Thx for the morning humor! Always appreciated on (yet another) frosty Feb day. One to go…wait, it’s not leap year is it?!
You are so right the birds are a singing. I have all my cole crops to go outside here soon, but I don’t think it will be happening until the middle of March this year! I have not seen a chipmunk since December here! It must be cold here since it is -5 today.
Yup, one more visit by that polar vortex. The ducks are in the garage (again) tonight!!!
wow…this is getting very old:-)
And how!
