Quite a few! Are they on parsley? We have had a lack of butterflies here.
Yup, they’re on the parsley. And here I planted extra dill for them but do they care? No, went right for my (limited amount) of parsley. *sigh*
I see six future butterflies
If all goes well…nature is tough on ‘pillars!
Pretty photo. I see six butterflies to be. 🙂 I’m sure they will be beautiful.
Fingers crossed they made it. If so, yes, they become beautiful Eastern Black Swallowtails!
At least 6 potential ones anyway…
Exactly! 🙂
wow…are those in your yard? really cool!!!! 5?lol
Have to say, my first thought was: MY PARSLEY!!! 😉 Mom said, don’t worry. It’ll come back. PS, she was right. 😀
I see seven future butterflies, if the dull-coloured thingy to the upper left is a caterpillar too. How many are there?
I think there were only 6 but I didn’t want to get too close. Story on *that* to follow. 😉
sneaky………
🙂
Do ducks eat caterpillars? 🙂
Other birds do but I kinda hope they don’t eat this sort of caterpillar. Story coming soon on why…
aaww – mommy explained this picture to me. OMP – that’s beautiful. What a great symmetry to life. Betcha you didn’t think this piggy new that word huh? Snorts. XOXO – Bacon

aawww – piggy blushes. You are so good to *me*. XOXO – Bacon
Pretty caterpillars! My ducks have finally discovered how much they like Japanese beetles! Hurray! here’s hoping you have a ton of butterflies this summer.
Thanks!!! And come to think of it, I haven’t seen a Japanese beetle at all this year! Hooray for ducks!!!
