Snow makes a horrible background for bird photos, you did well to get the images that you did!
Thanks! U r very kind!!! I’m trying out a new longer lens and it’s not very good in low-light against a snow background (as you guessed–very challenging for any lens, to be fair.) The birds were so cute, though, I wanted to capture something. Just shot a bunch of stuff and played with the images in post. Not a strategy to use everyday but then, hopefully, one day, spring will come. Hopefully! 😉
I think it looks like an adorable bird party with confetti. Juncos and the other tiny birds always make me smile.
Thanks!!! I love the way they tweet at each other, too. Without devices, even! 😉
I’ll bet the birds appreciate the seed with all the snow up your way. Robins and Red-Winged Blackbirds just arrived to my neighborhood this weekend.
Spring is coming!!! Yay!!!
So beautiful my friend!! You were tweeting – Snorts. XOXO – Bacon
P.S. I got your package!! Thanks so very much!
Tweeting! LOL! 😀
Lovely little birds! The snowy backdrop makes them pop! 🙂
Thank you kindly! The poor things are so hungry in this unrelenting wintery weather that I throw down some seed in front of the garage, pull up a chair and just watch ’em. They don’t care if I’m there or not and I love hearing their little chirps and calls. So sweet!
I can’t get excited about snow unless it has a bird or color with it of some kind-great job! I like the experiment + agree with above it looks like bird confetti:-) it does!
Wish I could have gotten better pix of the squirrels that day, too. We saw a couple of teenaged ones and, lucky for them, the cutest varmints ever.
I enjoyed your portraits of juncos and sparrows as well as the composition–the collage.
Thank you! From a fine photographer, the compliment is much appreciated!!!
