I’ve been wondering if it is the 4th of July all day – gray, cloudy, few sprinkles and temps that haven’t gotten out of the low 60’s. 🙂
More seasonal weather on the 3rd–yes. Hope your weekend shaped up well!
Looks knee high to me!
🙂
My corn hasn’t reached knee high just yet, but is growing nicely. (Had to wait on planting due to a soggy month of May.) It has rained enough to keep everything watered while the girls and I have been away on their equestrian schedule. Anyway, I planted a late-season hybrid which would make it ready for harvest in mid-September.
Yup, I hear you about late starts! I had put it on the calendar to plant on June 1st but it just wasn’t warm enough & didn’t want to risk it. Ended up not getting into the ground until two weeks or so later. Then hot weather with just enough rain until, voila! Happy corn plants just in time for their photo op!!! Hope you & your gals had a great Fourth! 🙂
Snorts – great picture. Hope you had a wonderful holiday my friend. XOXO – Bacon
Back atcha, Bacon buddy! 🙂
I planted corn too early and have exactly 6 plants 🙂 They’re happy though.
Just be sure to keep them away from the ducks (or is that, keep the ducks away from the corn?–I need more coffee to decide! ) 😉
